SMASH Pro Tape: wanneer gebruik je sporttape?
SMASH Pro Tape is a non-elastic cotton sports tape for targeted fixation of fingers, hands and joints. It is useful when you want to add tape under your gloves or wraps, but it does not replace a complete hand-wrap technique or medical advice for pain.
What is this exact product?
The FIGHT.NL product is SMASH Pro Tape – 2.5 cm x 13 m. The product page lists non-elastic cotton, a width of 2.5 cm, a length of 13 m and a tearable edge. The page also describes it for boxing, kickboxing, MMA and Muay Thai.
When does tape make sense?
Use sports tape when you need local fixation around a finger or joint, or when your trainer gives a specific wrapping instruction. Tape is narrower and stiffer than a full hand wrap, so it is suited to a targeted job. It is not a substitute for gloves, wraps or a properly fitted support.
How do you use it?
- Clean and dry the skin before applying tape.
- Follow your trainer's wrapping method and keep the tape comfortably snug.
- Keep movement and circulation in mind; do not tape over pain to keep training.
- Remove it after training and check the skin for irritation.
Competition rules can limit the amount, width or placement of tape. Ask the event organiser or official before using it in a bout. Professional boxing regulations, for example, may require inspection of hand wrapping before gloves go on.
Who should choose it?
SMASH Pro Tape fits athletes who already know where they need extra fixation and want a roll they can tear by hand. Beginners who are unsure how to tape should first ask a coach for a demonstration. For general hand support, compare it with elastic hand wraps in the FIGHT.NL hand-wrap category.
What are the limits?
Tape cannot diagnose or solve an injury. Stop if you feel numbness, increasing pain or skin problems and ask a qualified professional for advice. The right amount and method depend on your sport, rules and personal situation.
